The purpose of this page is to help you get set up to access our Subscriber content. If you need help at any point, please get in touch.
To start, do you already have a WordPress.com account? Please click below and follow the instructions (nb: if you have a WordPress.org account, you’ll need to create a WordPress.com account to access our Subscriber content).
I don’t have a WordPress.com account
You need to create a WordPress.com account to access the Subscriber content on our site.
When you click on the above link you will see a page that looks like this:
WordPress will ask you to enter an e-mail address, a username, and a password. Vanguard will never see your password, this is set by you. When you click ‘Create my account’, you may see a page that looks like this:
and WordPress will send you two emails.
One email will look like this:
You do not need this email to access our Subscriber content. You don’t need to do anything when you receive the email above.
The other email WordPress will send you will look like this:
Click on the blue ‘Confirm Email Address’ link and you will see a page that looks something like this:
We need to know both:
- your WordPress username
- an email address for you (so that we can contact you about your subscription).
Please email your Vanguard contact with this information. We will then invite you to view the Subscriber content of our site by way of an email from WordPress that looks like this:
Click on the ‘Accept Invitation’ link that’s highlighted in blue and you will be taken to a page that looks like this:
This is the home page for our e-learning material. To find this page easily in the future, you may find it helpful to save this page in your browser favourites. Alternatively, you can navigate back to this page by selecting ‘E-learning’ from the ‘Resources’ drop-down menu at the top of any of the pages in our site.
Finally, you’ll receive an email from WordPress to confirm that you’ve been added to our Subscriber content. It will look like this:
